Meteorize

This is a placeholder for the game which is still  work in progress. Not tested on mac but runs on linux and windows OK. I will keep posting updates as it progresses - feel free to download and test it. Let me know what issues you find.

UPDATE 20thAug2020 - plays right through now, hopefully without too many glitches. Just needs: models for the "teachers", more narrative and explanation, balancing loot effects etc etc.

You play as Cuthbert Cringeworthy of the Bash Street Kids, now grown up. At school you were teacher's pet and your life since then has been a long attempt to assert yourself as "cool" and to overcome the mental scars of having been the goody-goody in a class of ruffians.

Lots of kids (most) struggle with mathematics at school, and grow into adults with a "mental block" for numbers, they just don't get it and never will. But that's just nonsense. It's about as hard as driving a car and nobody ever assumes they will never be able to learn to drive!

BUT This game isn't about mathematics in any way.. though it is related to something  constantly confused with it: mental arithmetic. This is the stumbling block that puts most kids off anything to do with numbers from their first few days at school; and it doesn't need to. There's nothing to understand, simply 48 "facts" to memorize. If they were Pokemon cards most kids could do it in one day!

There's no point learning the 1x 2x 10x most of the 11x and 5x tables and there's no need to learn the reverse order, 3x4 is the same as 4x3.
